Lance of a type used by the armies of the great Empires in the Ancient Near East of the 1st. mill. BC., fine glossy patina, tiny piece of the tip lost, 28 cm. and 2) a sturdy attractive bronze dagger with central midrip and very broad triangular blade. Excellent metal and intact. 25 cm.

Unusual 19th century Persian brass betel box with hinged cover and chiseled designs: the top with equestrian lion hunt, the bottom with a scene of a person with long scimitar slaying a man with several figures and a dog watching, the sides with friezes of various animals: lions, dogs and birds. Pearly white glaze with Sgraffito decoration (relief), pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot. The sides decorated with a beautiful Sgraffito pattern of ovals and center and rim decorated with splashes of brown.

Condition: Superb, fine patina.

A large black serpentine cylinder seal, showing a horseman in infight with a rearing Bull and an eight-pointed star in the fields. Middle-assyrian, 14th - 10th century BC.

The scene is quite rare with the detailed horseman!

An extremely rare seal made of solid silver c. late 2nd.-early 1st. millenium BC.

The seal of a familiar type of cone-formed seals, known in stone and bronze, as Western Mesopotamian types from Urartu and other Neo-Hittite / Neo-Assyrian client states further south. The seal engraved in the base with two figures.

Seals of silver are extremely rare from any of the ancient cultures, especially a seal this early. We've had only 3 other silver seals in stock for 25 years.

Green serpentine cylinder seal, Mesopotamia c. early 2nd. mill. BC. Adoration or presentation scene before an alter.

Height: 2 cm, diameter 0.8 cm.

Condition: VF, intact with surface corrosion. Better than imprint indicates.

Highly interesting collectors lot of three different types of stamp seals, Anatolia, 3rd.-1st. millenium BC.

The lot includes a scarce 2nd. millenium Hittite type of 4-side stamp with 4 different impressions of humans and plants, a triangular seal with a knob handle and engraved with a floral pattern and lastly, a cone-shaped seal with round base engraved with scriptssigns(?).
