Authentic ancient Luristan ancient Luristan Babylonian-type bronze sword made between 1200-1000 BC. It has a flanged hilt, and the blade is finely cast in one piece. This remarkable artifact is a bronze sword that dates back to the 14th and 10th century B.C. It was discovered in the North-Western Asiatic-Caspian Sea area and features a finely cast tapering double-edged blade with a median ridge. This fantastic ancient weapon is a bronze dagger or spear from Luristan - ancient Northern Iran circa 1200 BC. This piece is heavy and stable. It has a leaf shaped blade with a strong midrib. The tang tapers to a small 90 degree bend.It has a wonderful patina including malachite and azurite encrustations. This would be a marvelous addition to any collection.It measures just over 26 cm in length and weighs208 grams.

An attractive large stamp seal of the stylized scaraboid form, oval with a round back and carved in the base in deep relief with a standing lion, tail lifted and a bird with spread wings above it's back, Mesopotamia, Middle-Assyrian period, later 2nd. millenium BC.

Rare Anatolian (costal region) stone seal with handle and a depiction of a Ram or Goat, Neo-Hittite States, 1st. millenium BC.

Finely carved seal with an elaborate handle and some great details. The Goat is a symbol or personification of the storm god in the Hititte Pantheon.

Height 16 mm., the square seal-plate, 17,5 x 16,5 mm.

An attractive hard burnt terracotta plaque of female deity, probably Ishtar, with tall headdress and fine gown, babylonian, 2nd. mill. BC.

A socketed bronze Javelin, Eastern Caspian Sea region, dating to 1st mill BC.

A fine late socketed Javelin for throwing, Assyrian-Achaemenid period. Attractive javelin with rounded shoulders and a defined central midrib. The socket about two thirds of the total lenght of c. 17 cm.

Condition: Very fine. Beautiful reddish patina.

A large & heavy Western Asian tanged bronze short Sword dating to 2000-1000 BC. 'Luristan' Turkmenistan / Uzbekistan bronze age.

The sword is massive, and heavy in hand. The tang is bend and the blade with rounded, raised shoulders and a flat central midrib. The edges are still sharp, with only slight roughness.

Size is 46,5 cm.

Condition: Superb - very sligh edge roughness and beautiful green and azurite patination.
