A fascinating and exceedingly rare bronze stamp seal of the Hephthalites or the Whine Huns as they're also known. Hunic Empire of the Hindu Kush, 4th.-6th. century AD.

The seal is of an advanced form with a tall handle ending in an oval loop. The plate is oval and engraved with a fine depiction of a parading horse.

Highly interesting stone seal carved in an extremely hard jade-like stone (probably nephrite), Anatolia, found at Mersin, c. 2nd.-1st. millenium BC.

Archais symethric grit pattern in the base, the seal itself of a monolithic shape that could look like an animal head. This is dated by Oberländer to the Pre-Historic period, but we believe it to be a later seal, due to the shape of the seal and the very hard stone used.

Though the motif of the grit pattern points to a pre-historic dating, the choice of stone and the shape and polishing of this seal, probably makes the seal much later, made up in the 2nd. mill. BC.

An interesting and probably emblematic carving on a Bifacial rectangular seal, found Near Antioch (Western Mesopotamia and present day easternmost Turkey), dating c. 4th. millenium BC.

Finely carved in dark greenish stone.

The seal in the rectangular gable form, carved with with two animals in the base.

Size: 25 mm. by 23 mm.

Condition: Very Fine, intact and nice for type considering the fragile material, with some extensive wear from use to the back from the string.

The lid decorated on both sides with a winged Eros seated on a rock and facing left. One figure holds up a mirror with his right hand, the other carries a dish with double hooks, a sash suspended underneath. Flowers in the field.
One Eros wears a kekryphalos with a bun at rear, the other a pointed cap. Both carry earrings, necklaces, bracelets, strings of beads around the chest, the left thigh and anklet, as well as sandals.
