The secutor she crowns waves the sword. His opponent sways with his head bowed and a deep wound on the side. His hand drops the sword. He is fatally injured.

This is a fantastic example of an early bronze dagger blade with handle rivets still present and intact. This type was common to large areas of the Middle East from present day Greece across to Iran. It has a triangular blade with prominent midrib and a very short, flat tang. The patina is a gorgeous mixture of greens and browns with a hint of blue. This is a truly rare opportunity to acquire an excellent piece at a reasonable price. Don't miss it!!!!

A very impressive large stone seal, Middle Assyrian Empire, 1363-912 BC.

The seal is carved in a superb green-brown stone, very glossy and depicts a human or deity with a Palm-tree and a Goat, crescent above.

Among the earliest types of bronze daggers, probably dating deep in the 3rd. millenium BC. No hole for the rivet and with a slightly raised midsection. The upper part of both sides of the blade finely engraved with a heering pattern!

Ancient Armenian Urartian bronze large bowl for libation (phiale) or a wine bowl, Urartu circa 9th-7th century B.C.

The walls, hammered from a single sheet of bronze, are decorated with 49 vertical ribs in fine repoussé work, radiating from a central roundel. A slightly flaring rim chased with four rings and a continuous scalloped pattern above the ribs...

A thickbutted Danish neolithic axe dating to 3rd. mill BC.

The axe is polished on the sides. The shape is slightly asymmetrical, indicating that it might have been mounted as an adze.

The edge is sharp and could be used even today if mounted on a shaft.

Size is 15 cm - c. 6 inches.

Condition: Nearly superb with just i tiny chip to edge. Very nice grey / beige patina.

Interesting amuletic blackstone stamp seal, Eastern Anatolia / Western Mesopotamia, 1st. millenium BC.

The seal was made during the Neo-Assyrian / Achaemenid period of dominance, c. 800-600 BC.

The engraving shows a Lion attacking a capride, on the other side a sword and a sun symbol and perhaps a mood symbol or a bird..? The last side below shows three globes. Very rare type...

Black-glazed Apulian plate of shallow floor with three stamped palmettes at center. The flat lip, slightly curved on top.
Standing on a low foot in two degrees. Faint imprint from the foot of another dish on the floor.
Covered with a fine black glaze. The expert modeling and the application of a glossy black glaze suggest that the plate was inspired by metal examples.

The facial features on the mask are expertly rendered with a detailed nose with nostrils and a serene expression carved on the lips. This is a rare example that would have been incorporated into the cartonnage wrappings of the mummy. Impressive filigree silver 'temple' ring of a very elaborate type, Viking settlers from Scandinavia (Kingdom of the Rus or Kievan Rus), present day Ukraine, c. 800-1000 AD.

Beautiful and still wearable temple ring, in solid silver, which consists of a bow ring with a loop and an elaborately carved filigree bead. These rings were worn from a headband around the temples by Viking Rus women, hence the name Temple rings.
