A superb pair of oriental saddle bags known as a "heybe." Pieces such as this one would have been presented as part of a bride's dowry, meant to indicate the bride's skill as a weaver, a traditional role in the nomadic society where this was woven. A very rare Solid gold rare ear pick very finely made with an ornate chain made during the Pyu Dynasty that is now Burma. This is a very unusual gold item from that era.
A beautiful quartz crystal gold ring with a unusual gold design on the stone. I feel that this is a post AngKor Wat period piece over 600 years old and is still wearable today. Quartz is clearer than photographed.

A rare Pyu carved green glass pendant with a figure of a man on the front and some writing on the back. Next to the glass pendant there are two small stone carved elephants. The rest of the necklace is made up of ancient gold and an assortment of gold and agate beads of the same period.

A fine snuff tobacco container made of a dried, double gourd, decorated with gilt silver mounts and inset with carnelian and tiny blue and white cabochons. The ram horn-shapped stopper is attached to an elaborate silver chain. These tobacco containers were used by the Turkman tribes. Condition: fine, few traces of usage. Dimension: c. 14.8 cm long, Diameter: c. 6.2 cm.

A large Persian textile "Suzani" which literally means "needlework". The cotton cloth is hand-embroidered with complex floral medallions and scrolling work with brightly colored silk thread. These traditional Suzani would be used for headscarves, ottoman covers, prayer mats, wall hangings, and many other uses.

A stupendous INDO-PERSIAN MUGHAL KHANJAR DAGGER with a particularly beautiful damascended PAMOR Design Blade, terminating in a fine triangle of overlaid Gold Foliage decoration. The wonderfully shaped Silver Grip is exquistely crafted as a massive 3-dimensional Lion's head. The dominant dense Pamor pattern resembles the irregular annual rings of a large and older tree trunk. Comes with a blue textile scabbard. Size: 14" (36 cm.). Late 18/19th Century.
