This very well carved overlay glass snuff bottle is a late 19th century product. The pink over black glass snuff bottle is 3 1/2" high, 1 5/8" wide and 1" thick. It depicts 8 Buddhist symbols of good fortune around the bottle. Those 8 Buddhist symbols are Lotus Flower, Dharma Wheel, Umbrella, Fish, Conch Shell, Victory Banner, Vase and Endless Knot. This old carved amber snuff bottle is a late 19th century product. On one side, it depicts a Ling Zhi (靈芝) growing from behind a rock; on the other side, there is a magical beast. It is 2" high, 1 1/2" wide at the widest part and 1" thick. It is in great condition

Antique Chinese carved jadeite snuff bottle. The stone is speckled with variations of green including small striations of a brilliant apple-green color. The flattened globular formed body is carved with peony flowers on one side and lotus blossoms and birds on the other.

19th century Chinese lacquer snuff bottle in flask form with inlaid lac burgaute reserves on each side depicting a flower sprig and brocade patterns surrounding the reserve. Lac Burgaute is a French term describing a lacquer technique with inlaid designs using small shapes of iridescent blue-green and purple abalone shell and gold and silver foil. Very well made, well hollowed, original matching stopper, in great condition. Height with stopper 2 9/16 inches.

Late Qing Dynasty (1900s) Chinese porcelain snuff saucer with underglaze blue painting of an open fan and enamel decoration of yellow bamboo rib and orange tassel. Very well made, wonderful painting, beautiful patina, some rubbing to the top, in great condition. Marked in underglaze blue on the bottom. Diameter 1 3/4 inches.

Early 19th century (can be as early as 18th) Chinese porcelain snuff saucer in round shape with underglaze blue splash on the top. Roughly made, which has its own charm, wonderful color splash, beautiful patina, in great condition for an old piece. Diameter 1 3/16 inches.

Fine Chinese cloisonné snuff bottle; depicts horses in rural landscapes; fine wire construction; apocryphal Jingtai mark to the base; end of spoon missing; good condition

It is amazing that about half of the snuff still remains in this bottle. Lacking a stopper, it was stuffed with tissue when we received it. We added the stopper for display purposes. The scene surrounding the bottle depicts a person riding a buffalo towards a mountain range while pointing behind him to the man with an umbrella. The bottle has a network of crackles stained over to a pale brownish tone. There are some pin pricks from firing, maybe bits of ash. Dates 1800s. 3 inches high.

Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue and White snuff bottle depicting a group of horsemen approaching a walled entrance to city with other figures present. No apparent cracks or chips. Includes stopper without lid. Height 2.5+ inches, width 1.5 inches.

Lovely Qing Dynasty amber colored agate ovoid form snuff bottle, with an oval foot rim surrounding a shallowly recessed flat base, with mask handles on each side. The bottle is very well-hollowed and "thin walled". Includes brass/red corral lid. Height of bottle itself is 2 inches. High resolution images may be emailed to you on request.
