Antique Japanese cloisonne jewelry/treasure box, made from bronze, with deep navy blue sides decorated with gold cloud shapes. The lid has a beautiful cloisonne landscape with overhanging cherry blossoms on tree branches, a tower and building with blue roofing, and a red bridge crossing over a running river. The inside of the box is inscribed "Kyoto" and has the mark of artist Inaba Nanaho of The Inaba Cloisonne Company, established in 1887. Size: 1.75" height, 3.75" width

Japanese Cloisonne Vase with a Yellow-Eyed Dragon on a Maroon Field. Baluster form with silver wire inlay. 9.5 inches, 24 cm.

This is a very fine early Japanese plique-a-jour bowl. The bowl measures 4 3/8 inches across and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. The bowl has two short lines in the yellow/red mums on the side that are hard to see. Look for them in the images. They can not be felt with a fingernail and are probably not all the way through. It is mounted with silver rims.

Antique Japanese cloisonne vase with beautiful scene of wind swept blossoming peonies, a colorful array of different butterflies, all on a peach colored ground, rim of foot is decorated with intricate geometric designs, the short neck is decorated with a design of scrolling vines, wonderful movement and form, Meiji Period. Japanese cloisonne vase of globular form with elongated neck, beautiful light green color with design of 2 white herons in flight, minor cracks on bottom not visible from front, Meiji/Taisho Period (very early 20th century). 9 3/4" high x 4 1/4" wide.

Antique Japanese large cloisonne vase decorated with a blossoming white hydrangea. Detailed flower petals with pale blue gradated centers and large leaves are rendered with great naturalism and contrast dramatically with a very smooth rose/taupe background. A band just below the mouth of the vase is decorated with a tiny, subtle leaf motif. Silver wire used throughout.

This is a fine early Deco-style Japanese cloisonne box with a gorgeous multi-fan and wave design, silver rims and a fabric lining, attributed to Akatsuki. 4 x 3 x 1.75 inches, 10 x 7.5 x 4.5 cm. From an old Virginia Estate

This is a signed late Meiji 7.25" silver wired olive green cloisonne vase portraying a rooster, hen and chick among chrysanthemums of two varieties.

This is a beautiful cloisonne bowl, not signed but likely from Ando. The condition is excellent. The workmanship is better quality than most and the Koi are even better in person. Rims appear to be bronze. The bowl measures 6 inches across and is 4 inches tall.

This is a rare cloisonne bowl from Gonda that features 16 wireless egrets. This bowl is stoutly made and is heavy. It measures 7 inches across and is 5 1/4" tall. The condition is very good with some expected wear. The bowl has 2 very minor, under the surface lines that can be seen in the last image.

Antique Japanese cloisonne oval-shaped container with fantastic designs outlined in wire of flying birds amidst scrolling vines and blooming lotuses, with draping blue and red panels, depicting a phoenix whose tails resemble fish fins or flower petals, and a red dragon with flames and smoke clouds against a sparkling background. This is a beautiful cloisonne vase from Gonda with a unique form. The Wisteria colors are wonderful. It stands 12 inches tall. Has a bit of crazing at the top but it's very hard to notice.

This is a high quality and very refined pair of Japanese Cloisonne vases. Though not quite as prolific work as on some pieces, the quality is very high. With almost pitless enamel and a high highly sheen, these vases glow. Condition is excellent and these vases are 4 3/4 inches tall.

This is a very fine and attractive Mt Fuji wireless cloisonne box. It actually looks very similar to a Mt Fuji Sosuke tray we once had. It is not signed butthe artist is most likely Ando or Gonda. The Box measures 5 1/4 by 4 inches and s 2 3/8 inches tall. The box is beautiful and perfect except for some odd tool marks on the inner rim of the lid.

This is a very beautiful and stylish Japanese Cloisonne vase. It looks like it could have been made a piece made by Kawaguchi Bunzaeoman but it is signed with a tiny script by Ota. It was primarily created in the basse-taille style with traditional cloisonne then used with the flowers and leaves. The vase is heavy for its size and the enamel is thickly applied.
