A large and attractive gilt wooden buddha, Burmese, c. late 19th.- early 20th. century.

The Buddha standing on a small throne and a black painted plint. He is righly addorned in a fancy dress with multiple glass stones in red and green colours.

Size: c. 74 cm. tall, incl. plint.

Condition: Choice and intact with remaining gilt overall.

Provenance: Collection of Gunna Munkvad, Denmark, aquired from the 1960s-1980s.

A wonderful, larger Chinese pottery figure of a female attendant. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.

An lady dressed in a robe glazed in Green and Yellow Sancai colors. She is placed on plint and carries a vase in front of her chest.

She carries a hat and her hair is nicely styled. Facial details were made with fragile pigment colors of which some remains.

Opium box of rounded rectangular shape, decorated with an embossed design all over its body representing a noble man in front of a house in the company of two women, a floral decor, Chinese characters and a geometric design. The lid itself is decorated with an embossed feminine figure (a dancer) surmounted by a bat. The box is made of copper with a fine age patina. China, end of 19th century. Height: 5.6 cm. Rare image of a Qilin Chinese "unicorn" with stunning deep aquamarine Qingbai glaze. This is a fragment of a much larger piece, possibly a finial off a censer. H: 9.5cm/3.9in, W: 7cm/2.8in x 4.5cm/1.8in. The sculpture is in excellent condition, there is a film of hardpacked soil in the crevices which can be (see enlargements), this can be removed with a small blade with a bit of effort, soaking it in water for a week or so will help. I am leaving it on as it speaks to the age of this piece...

Hand modeled, covered with yellow glaze except foot ring, with written poetry which is hardly seen due to the age.
