Antique Indian gold damascene iron shield. Original remnants of the hand grip materials, which consist of leather and cushion cut velvet remaining on the inside of the shield. Four protruded mounts are gold damascened with fine floral detailing.

An Iranian papier-mache box with polychrome and gold decoration under a lacquered varnish. The domed lid painted with a young couple embracing, the six sides with mihrab shaped cartouches, showing figures or flowers. Condition: particularly rims with little wear and laquer losses. This is a rare and authentic antique medieval Islamic ceramic bowl from Egypt during the Mamluk period, which dates back to the 13th-14th century AD (7th century AH - 8th century AH).
The bowl is tall and has a deep form, resting on a disc-shaped, short foot with a beautiful turquoise-green glaze. The rim of the bowl is incised with a serrated pattern.
It's noteworthy that these Turquoise glazed Mamluk ceramic types were inspired by the Medieval Persian Kashan turquoise glazed pottery...

Such fused-rod beads represent one of the high points of Islamic glass-making, and this is one of the best examples on the market. It is manufactured from combed mosaic canes of white, red, yellow and green, into which three vertical panels each composed of four eyes have been set. Each eye has three concentric layers of black and white, red, and yellow.
