Authentic ancient Roman red-slip terracotta erotic oil lamp, circa 1st century A.D. The central discus is molded with two people in a sexual act on a couch, with the filling hole pierced below, framed by two raised encircling bands and an elaborate nozzle adorned with volutes pierced with a wick hole mouth and an oval ring handle at the back. On a flat base incised with an oval groove.

Authentic Ancient Roman, 2nd-3rd century A.D. Terracotta Oil lamp.Carinated body. Mold-made. Small, plain discus with central filling hole; channel incised with diagonal lines between discus and nozzle, flanked by large volutes. Broad, sloping shoulder decorated with a row of twelve cylindrical shapes decorated at tops with incised lines and impressed circles.

A large North African Red-Ware Oil Lamp, late Roman ca. 4th-5th Century AD.
The lamp with a Gladiator or Soldier depicted hurling something on the discus, heering pattern around. Knob handle and two filling holes. Makers mark on the back
Condition: Choice and intact, even wear to all decorations and fine patination and discolouration from ancient use.
