Two extremely rare and very attractive figurines from the Manteno culture: An oval shaped vessel with a human face and crossed legs of an animal in front. The face and the mouth of the vessel are framed by dashed lines and a stylized, sitting man with oversized head, 1000-1500 AD.

Wonderful archaic and very artful details. This set is extremely rare; we haven't similar style figures from Manteno in the trade for more than 20 years of dealing!

A highly interesting and very accomplished Blackware vessel with the portrait head of a living man, Precolumbian Peru, Late Moche or early Chimú, 7th.-9th. century AD.

Superbly detailed and rather substantial vessel, made as a grinning man with his tungue between his teeth and wearing larger earrings and headdress, the spout of the vessel prodruding from the top of his head. Rather scarce piece!

Rare Pre-Columbian Volcanic stone figure of a seated lady, cupping her breasts, Atlantic Watershed Region, Chiriqui-Diquis, ca. 300-800 AD.

Seated naked woman, cupping each breast in her hands, with serene facial features, large ears to the side, the striated coiffure extending down the neck. Porous basalt, intact. The breast holding posture of this female figure is seen as a symbolic fertility gesture.

Colima Archaic Warrior holding a club-Standing in a fluid motion-like filled position with arms raised at the ready at the ready holding a club. A spread feather –like attachment is strapped to the back with straps that chris cross the chest. Applied donut circular eyes typical of the archaic style. Applied strips form a helmet and chin strap. Buff clay with good deposits. The holes on the back suggests that it may have served as a whistle...

A Veracruz life size head from 600 AD-900 AD. This figure wears a cap with head ornamentation and ear spools. The pupils and mouth are blackened with bitumen. A flesh tone slip covers the head. It is mounted on a stand. In fine conditon althought there is a minor crack on the left cheek.
