Exceptional Type 10 Mezcala Figure. 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" CA. 1500-300 B.C. This very mint gray stone figure has no modern day chips or marks, it does have the classic upper top of the head fracture area. This figure has a very nice plumpness to it. It comes with a custom made black metal stand. Mineral and root marks over all.

This phenomenal 7 3/16" Llama Bone Flute is highly engraved with human effigy carvings with crown or headdress and was recovered in Pisac, Peru near Machu Picchu. It is highly polished. It is so translucent that when backlit with a flashlight, light passes through both sides of the bone. It has beautiful patina. A lot of work and pride went into creating this beauty. I purchased it from Jim Bennett who has written several books on detecting fakes and reproductions.

This pre-Columbian Chancay bone flute is from the central coast area of Peru, 800AD-1200AD. It is 6" long and has four holes on the top and one on the bottom. The knuckle is carved with a very nice frog and two serpents/snakes along the sides. It is in beautiful, solid condition with superb patina. A real no-brainer. I purchased it on October 12, 1989 from HD Enterprises.

Pre-Columbian Mayan Warrior Cylinder Vase. Circa. 600 A.D. to 900 A.D. Black rimmed, orange surfaced with black robed warriors holding what appears to be spears. 5.5” x 5.5”. Provenance: Metropolitan Museum, New York, Rockefeller Collection. Arte Primitivo, NY,NY.

A larger and very refined La Tolita head. He wears a giant nosering and a cap, in hard burnt stoneware.

A substantial pottery figure of a mythical creature, Mexico, Mayan or earlier pre 8th. century AD.

A delicately made hollow terracotta figure of great appeal and quite funny really. The figure with a thick belly pronounced jaw, round eyes, large headdress with wings behind, earspools etc. Very interesting style, possibly a flute.

This unique extraordinarily rare maskette is made from translucent polished woolly mammoth bone with tremendous character. It has a carved hairline and incised cheeks. It is also heavily tallied marked on both inside edges. It is heavily patinated making this an extremely desirable piece. The primitive simplicity of the rudimentary facial features attest to its extreme age. It was found in Alaska as the permafrost is melting. It is 2 1/2"...

Antique Pre-Columbian Mayan circa 500 to 900 A.D. terracotta head fragment adorned with one ear spool.

CONDITION: The item shows signs of age and use with patina and earthen deposits. It is also chipped.

MEASUREMENTS: Height: 6.4 cm (2 1/2 in).

PROVENANCE: The object came from a private Canadian collection of antiques and was sold by a reputable Canadian auction house in the 1980s.

A medium sized Hopi Kachina doll carved by Wilson Tewaquaptewa circa 1930. Tewaquaptewa (1871-1960) was the last chief of Old Oraibi. He produced Kachina dolls which are a combination of many dolls and figments of his own imagination. He believed that you didn't carve actual Kachinas for the tourist market. His dolls are usually monochromatic in color (brown, ochre and white and black). His use of symbols, painted on the case mask, seems to be arbitrary. DIMENSIONS: 7" tall.

This extremely rare 6 1/2" angular owl effigy pipe was found by Dr. Allen Heflin in 1958 at the Tzintzuntzan, Michoacan site in Mexico. It is type 3A. The pupil of the right eye is missing. This is truly a fabulous pipe of which only a few exist in private collections.

Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta group lot . Head and animal pieces. fragments from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. This is the more unique pieces in the collection Size 2.5" by 2.5" for ball like bird figure.
