This pointed bone splitter tool from the Bill Peterson Collection and ex-Jim Bennett is 5" L, including a 2" glued piece. It was found in Kentucky and shows incredible patina. It has a drilled hole for suspension. It is just a really neat bone tool in unusual form. It has been preserved with an Elmer's glue mix which many old collections used. I will hate to see this one go.

This is a hammered sheet silver breastplate with the neatest iconography that I have seen. This piece screams pre-Columbian. It depicts a fanged anthropomorphic transformational diety war god figure in full regalia holding 3 double-headed snakes/serpents wearing an elaborate feline/monster headdress showing fierce demon facial features. It shows many levels of patination. It is 7.2" X 5.7". It is attributed to the Chavin culture...

Although just a fragment, the imagery is outstanding in this substantial gray pottery piece. Molded and carved, it depicts two seated chieftains facing one another over a table (?) resting on a skull. The imagery is crisp and clear. The piece measures 6" X 2-5/8", while the image itself is 4" in width by 1-3/4". Dating to the 5th - 8th century AD.

This incredible delicate Columbia Plateau gem point is made from highly translucent agate. No bends, curves or stacks. Beautiful edge work. Super thin. Found at The Dalles. It is a huge 2 3/4". A true G10. I've never seen one better. Ex Dean Mesnard. A once in a lifetime find. Tony Putty COA.

Pre-Columbian Chimu Goldball Necklace. Circa 1000 A.D. – 1200 A.D. 28” total lenght. 76 grams total weight. Composed of high karat gold beads including fourteen large, lentoid-ball beads, each interspersed with a medium size gold bead and sixty-four small gold beads. Several of the large beads have dents and evidence of crushing and small holes along the central soldering seam. Modernly strung, suitable for wearing. Provenance: Ex. This is a Mezcala reclining figure made from a hard stone. This is a rare pose. It dates to 500C. It is 3" tall. It is from Guerrero, Mexico. I purchased it from Michael Robbins in 1989.

A Teotihuacan stone figure made of a spinach colored green stone. A typical rigid body with squared-off shoulders, straight arms draped to the hips with incisions to denote fingers and toes, a flattened head marked by deep crescent in-cut eyes and mouth. It is drilled at the nose and through the earrings and wears a rectangular peaked cap. Measures 8" in height and on a presentation stand. Provenance: Leonard Kaplan Collection, Laguna Beach, CA.

A highly interesting and very accomplished Blackware vessel with the portrait head of a living man, Precolumbian Peru, Late Moche or early Chimú, 7th.-9th. century AD.

Superbly detailed and rather substantial vessel, made as a grinning man with his tungue between his teeth and wearing larger earrings and headdress, the spout of the vessel prodruding from the top of his head. Rather scarce piece!
