Ancient Egyptian artifacts from the Predynastic Period, specifically the Naqada II (Gerzean) era, which dates back to around 3600 - 3150 B.C. The artifact is a hand-carved war mace head made of reddish-brown stone, possibly Breccia. A fine and large Egyptian bronze figure of Osiris in mummyform, Late Period, 26th Dynasty (Saite Period), about 627 - 525 B.C.

The large figure depicts the mummiform Osiris wearing the Atef-crown holding crook and flail. Interestingly, there's remains of ancient gilt on the body in many places.

Fragmentary figure of Serapis. With thick wavy hair and thick beard. 2nd/3rd Century A.D. 3 inches high. Mounted. Old Belgian collection. Serapis was an Egyptian god whose devotees united the worship of the Apis bull and the god Osiris. His cult, which originated at Memphis, rose to its greatest significance at Alexandria during the reign of Ptolemy I.

An Egyptian bronze bull depicted walking on an intergral rectangular base. Bull measures 50mm in length and stands 50mm high from the base to the top of the horns. The tip of one horn and one ear lost, otherwise condition is good, with a dark freen patina , late Dynastic Period, c. 664-332 B.C...

This is a lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1250 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 5/8” long (16 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

Condition: Very fine, intact with minor wear and fine patination.

Two-finger amulets were used for the dead and were often found on the lower left of the torso. This is the area of the incision that was made during the mummification process in order to remove the internal organs...

Interesting bead or perhaps a spindle weight, carved with geomethric patterns, c. 3rd.-2nd. millenium BC.

Exceptionally large bead that would have been impossible to use in a necklace. In hard burnt stoneware and it that came to us as part of an Egyptian collection. Guaranteed authentic as everything we sell.
