Certain items of jewelry, such as the scarab, carried religious significance to the ancient Egyptians. The scarab represented rebirth, so it was essential to have one or more scarabs adorning the deceased in order to ensure reincarnation to the next level. The owner's name was inscribed on the stone so that his spirit would know it was his.

Ancient Egyptian mix bead lot early shell bead core glass and faience beads nice group.

Terracotta head of a slave or peasant with coarse and asymmetrical features.
The man shows a wide face, short chin, and small ears set at the level of the temples. The almond-shaped eyes are raised, one of them with slight outline of the eyelids. The knobby nose is very close to the full lips underneath.
The bald head is covered by a cloth cap...

A very attractive large Udjat eye amulet, Egyptian, and probably Late period, mid 1st. millenium BC.

The amulet is vcarved in a hard Diorite stone, very beautiful in hand.

Size: 26-27 mm. wide and very thick.

Condition: Choice and as made, the drill went wrong, visible at the back so the artist drilled another hole just beside the first one.

An Egyptian Gesso and wood Painted Horse Head possibly from an equestrian figure with a beautiful crackle patina and mineralised wood in areas. probably ancient. Collected in the late 19thc. Untested for age priced accordingly. Size H 8" D 5.5" W 2"

This ushabti remains in choice condition and displays the famous Ushabti style with partial back pillar and mummiform design. The facial features are still clear and display the royal Nemes headcloth and the hands crossed over the chest to hold the agriculatural crook and flail (to aid the deceased in their journey through the afterlife)...

It is 5/8” long (16 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

Terracotta female head of an Orans or Baubo figure. The broad nose is abraded and flat. The swung lips contrast with the white coat that used to be overpainted. The eyes are almost completely covered by the white pigment. The woman shows a broad forehead, curly hairdo and a stippled wreath over her head. The earlobes pierced to wear earrings.

Bastet or Bast was a goddess of ancient Egyptian religion, worshiped as early as the Second Dynasty (2890 BCE).

Her name also is rendered as Baast, Ubaste, and Baset.

An large accomplisheed Two-finger amulet, Egypt, Late Period, 664 - 322 B.C.

The amulet well-modelled in a fine glossy black obsidian

Size: 73 mm. mm. long.

Condition: Very fine, loss to part of the smaller right fnger.

Two-finger amulets were used for the dead and were often found on the lower left of the torso. This is the area of the incision that was made during the mummification process in order to remove the internal organs...

This ushabti figurine is depicted as a worker holding two hoes for work in the fields of Osiris in the afterlife.

He is wearing a tripartite wig which falls down between the shoulders...

A nice Egyptian wooden painted figure of a Falcon, Late period, c. 660-332 BC.

Comes with a low lucite base, total 6,3 cm. tall. Old black ink number on the head.

Condition: Very fine for the material, smaller losses, preserved pigments.

Terracotta head of Harpocrates wearing the double crown of Egypt flanked by lotus buds.
The expertly modeled face shows almond-shaped eyes with sharply defined eyelids, a broad nose, and fleshy lips. The head is bald except for small tufts of hair and the side lock of a child.
Harpokrates, the infant son of Isis and Horus, symbolized both youth and fertility. Harpokrates was revered as the patron deity of childhood.
