Fine Western Greek head fragment with calm expression and appealing Early Classical facial features. The face shows a prominent nose, full lips and a heavy chin. The beautifully arched brows span over indistinct eyes that were originally painted. The hairline above the forehead with heavy curls.

Oversize axe of rhomboid shape with a short vertical and a broader horizontal blade. Roughened surface and a central perforation to insert a pole. The use of the item is unclear, also in view of the considerable weight of four kilogram. The type is described in the literature as axe hammer and also as double axe. Late Corinthian kylix decorated on both sides with geese flanked by griffin-birds. The geese turn their heads back. The griffins show crested heads, sickle-shaped wings and protruding tail feathers.

Rare seated figure with writing tablets folded open on the lap. The writing right hand rests on the tablet, which is held with the other. The small face with a prominent nose, the eyes and the mouth indistinct and originally painted. Curls frame the forehead and braids fall along the neck.
The figure wears a skin-tight tunic that might have been originally painted. The edge of a cloak covers the lower chest. Broken below the writing tablet at the level of the knees.

Rare yellow-slipped patera with sculptural handle in the shape of a naked youth with arms upraised as if to support the shallow bowl upon his head.
The representation of the handle follows conventions prevailing since the Archaic Period.
‘Gilded’ pottery (ceramica dorata) is unusual in Apulia, but typically occurs in Canosa. Patera and oinochoe were there part of funeral sets to offer libations to the deceased.
