Extremely large for type and with a deep relief engraving of an animal and with other symbols etc in the fields.

A very rare and interesting stamp seal of the 2nd. mill. BC, carved in dark green stone in Anatolia during the Hittite period of dominance.

As typical for the Anatolian culture and glyphtic art, the seal depicting a hunting scene, but in this case a very unusual one. We see a winged Centaur with horse body and the forepart of a human, attacked by numerous spears and arrows, one is burried in his chest. His horned head with human features is turned upwards, while in flight.
