Interesting stamp seal of a very large size and depicting a horse, found place border area between Mesopotamia and Anatolia, Antiocheia, Uruk-Jemdet Nasr period, c. 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

A rare sizeable depiction of a horse from this period.

Large decorated powder flask, Morocco, 19th. cent.

Wood with brown leather and brass rivets, attractive patina.

Size: 28 cm. tall.

Choice and intact condition. Ex. Old Danish Private Collection and the flask comes with an identity card from the collection, added in 1990.

PHOENICIAN style Fused glass bead necklace with six white fang-like beads two tubular beads with colored dots and a large bearded mask face bead. This necklace came from Sadigh Gallery on 5th ave Ny Ny and listed as original Phoenician. Condition good with calcification, a few beads have minor chips. size 17" the face bead is 2.25" by 1.25" wide . We were not the original buyers so we feel the piece is old but cant say for certain that the attributed age from them is correct.

Very attractive thick early geomethric style cylinder seal, carved in a semi-translucent hardstone, probably Quartz, Mesopotamia, Jemdet Nasr period, c. 3300-2900 BC.

A very interesting, large and thick block-shaped seal in black serpentine, Mesopotamian, c. 3rd. mill. BC., could be a bit later (?)

Drill style carving in high relief, very precise and still difficult to sort out, probably an animal but we're not certain. Also see mr. Oberlánders drawing of this motif.

Size: 28 mm. in length and 21 mm. wide, 13 mm. thick.

Condition: VF, some wear smaller losses, basically intact...

Nice high relief blackstone seal from the Early-Dynastic-Arkkadian period.

The seal is engraved with a man lifting his weapon, probably sword besides two fighting ibexes.

A beautiful stamp seal in the form of a reclining cow, carved in a glossy hard white stone with extreme polishing, Jemdet Nasr, 3300-2900 BC.

The stamp is carved on the sealing surface with two globules. Interesting very small seal, incredibly nicely carved in such a small size!

Length c. 10 mm. wide.

Condition: Extremely fine for type and age.

Provenance: The Karl Müller collection, Germany 1950-1977. Comes with COA and hard imprint.

A large round stamp seal with a rare depiction engraved in the base, Mesopotamian 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

The seal is engraved with a Capride springing in the forrest as if in flight, struck and pierced through by two spears. The seal is carved in stone with a small handle.

One more of the fine large stamp seals from the Oberländer collection. A rare rendering in fine style, Parthia or early Sasanian, 1st.-4th. century AD.

The seal is carved in a beautiful milky-white and agate. The carving shows a seated female, perhaps a woirshipper in fancy cloths.

A vividly carved seal in high relief (shaped like an hour glass), engraved with stylized animals, pre-dynastic very early seal.

A lovely eastern Anatolian stamp seal of a rectangular gable form, Eastern Anatolia, 4th. mill. BC.

The seal carved with animal on the base probably birds flying?.

Condition: Nice VF, slight wear but attractive and with a sharp imprint.

A very interesting and rare Scaraboid seal of the Phoenician type, ca. 800-600 BC.

The seal of perfect high scaraboid shape with a low relief stamp of a war elephant engraved in the seal plate. Horisontically pierced for mounting. Extremely rare shiny greenstone used, perhaps a Fluorite, semi-transperant with cloudy green inclusions. Finely patinated and weathered.

Size: 15 x 13 x 10 mm.

Condition: Choice.

Attractive blackstone cylinder seal, Eastern Anatolia, Hattite/Hittite period of the 2nd. millenium BC.

The seal depicts a large horned animal, probably an antilope, and a much smaller capride, Tree of Life as spacer. Interestingly, the seal is hollowed out perfectly to a high degree.

Condition: Choice VF, Attractive with redish dessert patina in the devices.

A finely made flat tablet seal with a fine cruciform carving on one side, the other blank, probably pre- or early Hittite.

Fine style carving, described by Oberländer as c. 1000 BC, we believe it must be a lot earlier than that.

Condition: Nice VF for type, Intact with fine wear and uncleaned patina.

19th century Persian silver melon shape salt shaker with repousse branch on top surrounded by a band of small flowers, and with pendant drapery in every sector of the bottom part. Last quarter of 19th century, Qajar dynisty era, very well made, two parts fit snugly, in excellent vintage condition, nicely tarnished (can be cleaned with silver tarnish remover in a minute if needed). Hallmarked with 2 characters on the bottom. Diameter 2 inches, height 2 inches, weight 1.45 ounces (41 grams).
