A fine lot of Roman bronze antiquities, dating 1st.-3rd. century AD.

Collection comprice of four nice bronze keys or clasps for locks with animal finials, (sizes max 7 cm.), a large Lunar pendant with loop (size ca. 4,5 cm. x 4 cm.), a large clasp for a lock with openwork design (8,8 cm. length) and a finely patinated fibula.

All in all 7 fine items.

Interesting lot, incl. two round bronze finials, finely decorated / finely engraved with swirly patterns, Roman or darkage, c. 400-1000 AD.

A very interesting and ultra rare depiction of a caesar or emperor on a Seal ring, Late Roman / Darkage, c. late 4th.-6th. cent. AD.

Enigmatic ring that would have belonged to officials with some power. The style of (pseudo) lettering around a central bust and with his raised arm depicted as well, is typical for the Late Roman depictions from the 4th. century and onwards, in this case in the later gothic style known from the coins as well, so a presumable dating would be c. 5th...

The collection consists of several medical tools and pins with knob finials, a scarce Roman Iron citizens ring (intaglio lost), a miniature amphora, a massive suspension ring with torquise patina, a very nice roundel fibula and a nice intact fibula, perhaps pre-roman.

BRONZE INCENSE BURNER
Byzantine Empire, 5th - 6th Century AD

Cast bronze, the outside rim of the bowl incised with two lines pattern, three loops on the rim joined to suspension chains.

Authentic, ancient, cast bronze Etruscan hand mirror. It dates back to Etruria (Italy) around 350-200 BC and is in a typical Etruscan form with a tapered stem handle. It is shaped like a circular disc with a slight concave on the reverse and has a pronounced two-stage lip engraved in concentric circles. Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this quality bronze surgical instrument. The instrument was used as a probe and one end is grooved, which may have been used to hold sutures. There is a nice banded groove design toward the end and the bronze instrument has a lovely ancient olive patina. The instrument itself measures 6 5/8" in length. This comes beautify and professionally framed with a description plaque on the front. The frame size measures 11.25" x 9.25". Roman, Ca. 100 A.D.
