Elaborate Roman silver ring, 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.

The ring is moulded with a large female bust on the top. She is either a deity or a high-born lady, with a tall draped hairdress and diadem.

Size: about 25 mm. wide. 9.60 grams. The ring-size is c. 19 mm.

Condition: Nice Very fine and intact. stable and Wearable. The surface with corrosion and brown deposits.

Another substantial Roman silver seal ring with a red carnelian intaglio, 1st.-3rd. cent AD

The ring a typical compressed Roman design and the carnelian stone engraved with a depiction of the Dioskouroi.

Size: c. 24 mm. wide and weighing 8.1 grams. The ring-size is c. 19 mm. x 16 mm., so it fits the typical ring-finger of a smaller male or a female hand.

Condition: Very fine, intact, but the stone was reset and there's chips to the silver-setting...

Interesting and very attractive large Roman seal or signet ring, with a green Jasper intaglio, depicting a Galley / trireme. The ring isself a typical male uppeclass silver ring, very heavy and with the high shoulders decorated with scroll.

The Jasper stone very nicely engraved with details of the man at the rudder. This ring would probably have belonged to a Naval commandor (triarch) or a Centurion in the fleet.
