This is an extremely rare Carthaginian glass head pendant, circa 5th-4th century B.C. It is 1 1/2 inches long. This is a Mediterranean core-formed glass bead. on the body for about two third of the way down. Unguentaria used to hold poisonous, caustic oils or ointments and
were never smooth sided, to prevent the Roman from grabbing the dangerous oil by mistake. It is certainly one of the earliest poison bottles ever made.

Good quality extremely well made Authentic Ancient ca 1st – 3rd Century A.D., Imperial Roman terracotta oil lamp with ring base, medium height conical body decorated with incised designs encircling the central fill hole.
CONDITION: Nice patina, showing the age and usage, carbonization around the nozzle from original use...
Authentic ancient ca. 1st – 4th Century A.D., Imperial Roman terracotta oil lamp with round conical body and a large central filling hole with a raised ring border and three flame nozzles.
CONDITION: Unbroken, with some chips on outer edge and inner ring. Nice patina, showing the age and usage, sooty nozzles from original use, some spots with old wax deposits on the surface.

A fine Roman blown glass bottle in a deep amethyst color. Most likely a medicinal flask or unguent vial. It is evenly translucent with very little earthen deposits and encrustation. Quite rare and beautifully well preserved, it dates circa 1st-3rd century A.D. Measurements 4.75" x 3".

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this quality bronze surgical instrument. The instrument was used as a probe and one end is grooved, which may have been used to hold sutures. There is a nice banded groove design toward the end and the bronze instrument has a lovely ancient olive patina. The instrument itself measures 6 5/8" in length. This comes beautify and professionally framed with a description plaque on the front. The frame size measures 11.25" x 9.25". Roman, Ca. 100 A.D.
