A lovely Egyptian pre-dynastic macehead of squat Piriform, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

Very attractive fully polished surfaces and symethric.

Beautiful key with a round bow flute, a long solid stem, large bit with complicated slots.

A very rare and superb condition iron Cupboard key, European, probably English, 15th. century (c.1450-1520).

Very interesting key of a sturdy design with a Gothic floral bow in openwork. The bit with a double S-shape forming a cross in the center.



Note: The key with a hollow stem and inside the stem was a rolled up 19th./early 20th century collectors tag in stained brownish paper with ink writing in English (see picture!).

Vase of outstanding provenance, acquired in 1962, well before the UNESCO World Heritage Convention of 1972.
Black glazed sieve guttus with a raised molding around the perforated sieve at centre. Pairwise cannelures on the cushion-shaped body. The ring handle placed at right angles to the straight spout. Ring foot reserved underneath.

Roman wine amphora with spindle-shaped body on a short ring foot. Rounded shoulder with short neck, the handles attached just below the bulged mouth.
Typologically this is a Gaulish wine amphora (amphore vinaire Gauloise), which was manufactured in Galia Narbonensis, French Provence area. Type Gauloise 4, after Sciallano/Sibella. Amphores: comment les identifier? Paris 1991.
