A nice and substantial Late Gothic type of chest key, European, probably German, c. 1550 AD.
The key with enforced bit with slots, decorated hollow stem with fluted collar and an oval bow.
Size: 126 mm.
Condition: Nice Very fine with interesting cuphrite surfaces from coppering.
Ex. Important old Danish collection of keys.
A nice small collection of 19 seal bullae stamped in lead, dating from c. 12th.-14th. century for the oldest up to c. 17th.-18th. century!
Interesting group incl. several with Coat of Arms and perhaps also city stamps.

Appears to represent the nude Adonis, his right leg slightly bent on the knee, standing on a raised pedestal, gazing down on an enamoring Aphrodite, with hair pulled back into a bun, her right arm bent at the elbow, and her left hand, grasping her long, flowing drapery. Deep blue glazed faience shabti for Nesy-per-nub, one of the important priests in the second Cache of Deir El Bahri. His shabtis display text variants that refer to his various titles.
The two columns of hieroglyphic text read: (1) O shabti, say: I will irrigate [the riparian lands] (2) for the Osiris, the ‘Scribe of the temple of Mut’, Nesy-per-nub, justified.
The hieroglyph for the goddess Mut is cursorily rendered...

Interesting large stamp, slightly Oval and inspired by Egyptian scarabs, Middle-Assyrian Empire, 15th.-11th. cent. BC.
Very large for the type and engraved with a finely carved winged and horned animal. On the other side was an engraving of Ashur that was deliberately partly erased in antiquity! So the removing of Ashur would have been done by enemies of the Assyrians.
