Authentic ancient Luristan ancient Luristan Babylonian-type bronze sword made between 1200-1000 BC. It has a flanged hilt, and the blade is finely cast in one piece. This is an excellent example of an authentic ancient Luristan bronze dagger with an elegant form from the Bronze Age, dating back to 1200-1000 BC.

Spears in ancient Egypt were primarily used for hunting, however the spear never surpassed the bow and arrow. Spear heads like this one were attached to long wooden shafts by means of a tang and were often used in the military as auxiliary weapons used by charioteers once their arrows were expended. Many scenes depict military processions where the army presents large spears in succession...

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this collection of Egyptian faience amulets. The amulets range in size from 5/8" to 1" each in height. Included are an amulet of Anubis, a standing goddess, shu, a seated Isis with Horus, and the cat deity Bastet All have completely intact and unclogged suspension loops and the she amulet has a collection number remaining on the bottom. All are Egyptian late period, ca. 664 - 50 B.C...

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this quality bronze surgical instrument. The instrument was used as a probe and one end is grooved, which may have been used to hold sutures. There is a nice banded groove design toward the end and the bronze instrument has a lovely ancient olive patina. The instrument itself measures 6 5/8" in length. This comes beautify and professionally framed with a description plaque on the front. The frame size measures 11.25" x 9.25". Roman, Ca. 100 A.D.

This large and heavy copper alloy axe is from the ancient culture(s) of Northern Iran. The convex cutting edges are perpendicular to each other. It has a vertical shaft hole with a collar/ridge around the bottom. There are some obvious chips to the vertical cutting blade but it is otherwise very solid, stable and complete. This is a nice copper or copper alloy axe from Northern Iran. It dates to roughly the end of the third millennium BCE. Similar examples can be seen in P.R.S. Moorey Catalog of Ancient Persian Bronzes in the Ashmolean Museum pp 41-43. Axes of this type are commonly attributed either to the broad classification of Luristan or to the Elamite culture. This is a beautiful and rare copper alloy dagger from the Dong Son culture of southeast Asia circa 250 BCE. It has an attractive patina that belies its high tin content alloy.
