A very rarely encountered horsemans spiked macehead, Eastern German, Crusader period tyoe, dating ca. 12th.-13th. century AD.

A very attractive macehead in a wonderful condition for the excarvated type. With a fair amount ov silver plating or inlays to the surface and a small piercing hole where a rivet secured it to the shaft.

Size: 60 mm. wide and 48 mm. tall.

Condition: Choice for the type and intact with corrosion in smaller parts...

An ancient Egyptian bronze figure of Nefertum. Depicted striding on his integral base, wearing a tripartite wig, fronted with ureas, with his left foot forward, with arms along his side, wearing the lotus crown and with suspension loop behind. 3 1/4 inches high. Mounted. Said to have been purchased on the Paris art market @ 15 years ago...

This is a large, deeply molded sculpture which would have been used to make appliques for attachment to larger vessels. The piece is 4-5/8" in length and its interior depth is more than 1". It depicts a lotus pod and comes with a rubberized impression. A beautiful piece of sculpture in its own right.

Painted wood panel depicting a seated Anubis, depicted with the head pf a canine, with prominent details, wearing a long garment and with arm raised in adoration. 5.5 inches high X 2 inches wide. Late Period, 600-30 B.C. Purchased on the Amsterdan art market. Said to be originally purchased in the 1950s-1960s in the Middle East. Private collection Owner of the antique and carpet shop Persepolis in The Hague, 2021. Contributed by the family to a Dutch auction house in 2022...

Superb quality prehistoric, European stone hand axe-celt, Stone Age, Neolithic Period, dating from 3600 BC to 2200 BC.

This hand ax is extremely well-knapped and polished from creamy-beige flintstone. Its thick-butted form has a convex, almost semi-circular, nicely polished blade with a finely profiled cutting edge. During the Neolithic era in northwestern Europe, people relied heavily on a variety of tools to aid them in their daily lives...

An attractive glass head of a Lion, in black glass becoming multible colours at the rim, Egyptian, c. Ptolemaic-Roman period, 3rd. cent. BC-1st. century AD.

Tarentine bone fibula body in the form of a leaping dolphin with dorsal fin and incised details.
The pierced eyes to bear inlays.
The head with its pointed snout is merged into a heavy catch plate.
The missing iron pin joined to the dolphin's body through a spiral hinge. Remains of the iron pin inside the tail.
Mounted on an acrylic base.

A really nice specimen of the sought after type III flint / silex dagger, c. 2000-1800 BC.

Very attractive and finely made neolithic dagger from the latest fase of the Danish stoneage neolithic period.

The dagger is classified within the type III group of daggers. The cross-section of the handle is square shaped and both surfaces and edges of the handle and blade has the classic "stitching" style of flaking. Stitched handles first appear with type III daggers...

Highly stylized female figure carved from a long bone. Details of the head, the anatomy and tattoos carefully drawn in ink and faintly visible.
Deep incisions to delimit the different parts of the body. The incised X on the chest may indicate the cross bands of a garment.
Drilled holes at the shoulder level to attach separate arms.
