Fine Etruscan chalice supported by a tall, slender stem. Three parallel grooves and a sharply cut carination decorate the exterior of the bowl. Robust double molding on the stem, close to the flaring foot. Brilliant black Bucchero pottery with polished surface.

From a collection of an artist and once bought at a London dealer for ca. $8000. The head depicts a bearded older man, perhaps a leader or even a god. Typical celt-Iberian features, but also inspired by grecco-roman art...

Attractive blackstone cylinder seal, Eastern Anatolian or Western Mesopotamian, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

The seal was dated by a dealer to the Neo-Assyrian period, which we think is completely wrong. The depictions includes two tall figures, animals and a latter.
