Interesting Bifacial stone stamp seal, East-Anatolian, probably in the time of Uruk, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

Deep carving in an attractive dark green stone with a palmtree or a palm-leaf engraving one one side and a human and a snake(?) on the other side. Early depiction of a human figure, in the nice drillstyle.

Size: 23 mm. wide over the base and 21 mm. tall.

Condition: Near VF, chip to the edge of one of the seal bases...

Beautiful pottery dish with torquoise glaze, black markings and a finely decorated pattern, Seljug period, 11th.-12th. century.

The Dish in an almost untouched state with surface and beautiful colours.

Size: 17,4 x 4 cm. - c. 7 inches.

Condition: Choice and intact, a few places of missing glaze and usual markings from the making, but a very nice dish.

A lot of three lovely points in silex and other finer hardstones from the private collection of P.F. Wulff. We're selling this very old collection in smaller lots to give everyone a chance to own a small piece of the pre-historic Americas!

The three points carved in hardstones and probably silex. They can probably be dated to the 2nd.-1st. millenium BC, but 1 could be much earlier. Very hard material and amazing that they could manage to make such refined artifacts of this size...

Large head of Serapis shown with a fulsome beard and fringed hairdo over the forehead. On the crown a closed modius decorated with an olive branch.
The face with a small nose and flat eye cavities with thin eyelids. The mouth enclosed by a stringy moustache.
Modeled in the round. Two-piece mold with cursory back side. Remains of the original gesso layer in the cavities. Nice Hellenistic style.
Large-sized heads of Serapis are relatively rare...

Authentic ancient Luristan ancient Luristan Babylonian-type bronze sword made between 1200-1000 BC. It has a flanged hilt, and the blade is finely cast in one piece. A fine large black serpentine stamp seal of scarce round form, Mesopotamia, Ubaid-Uruk period, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

The seal is carved with a fine angled cross motif with triangular forms (arrow-points or wedges) in each field, all a high relief. It has a low pierced handle on the back.
