Interesting stone seal, shaped as a stylized scarab after Egyptian model, West-Mesopotamian, among the earliest types of scaraboids, 3rd. millenium BC.

A particularly finely carved specimen with a sophisticated Leaf/heering pattern.

Size: 22 mm. long and 17 mm. wide, 10 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very fine, intact and with much uncleaned deposits, so the imprint will improve much when cleaned.

Small glass phial, with a bulbous body resting on a circular foot and surmounted by a cylindrical long neck. Slight irisations and soil encrustations. Roman period, ca. 3rd century. Height: 5.5 cm. Very good condition.

Serpentine Horus falcon, with defined wings, beak and tail feathers. Late Period, 600-30 B.C. 1 1/4 inches high X 1 1/8 inches long. Intact. From an old French collection.

This excellent 19th century WKC (Weyersburg, Kirschbaum & Company, Solingen, Germany) Imperial Hunting Cutlass is 22 inches in length. The mounts are composed of beautiful brass throughout the hilt and scabbard. The pommel area has a fluted nut at the top center of the cap which acts as a threaded tang nut. An attractive preserved and conserved intact iron axe from the medieval times, ca. 12th.-14th. cent. AD.

An axe with a square blade with a double bart, dated on old label from the 12th. century, we think it could be a bit later than that but not later than 14th. century.

Thus a rare early German axe, difficult to find in intact buriel condition from this period!

An attractive large fishtail type of dagger, made in the late neolithic period, Daggertime-bronzeage, c. 2000-1600 BC.

A type with an elaborately knapped handle, stiched in the sides and full size for a grown hand. The blade chipped and resized in later periods. Looks originally like a type IV-V to us. Comes with with very old collection tags and another tag written directly in black ink - found at Sorø 1909!

Size: ca. 23-29 mm. tall each.

Condition: 6 intact, 3 with minor repairs to the handles.

Provenance: These small vessels comes in a variety of forms and colors, and first appear in the archaeological record around the mid-3rd Century AD. Production seems to have begun in the broader Syria / Palestine area, though examples have been found over a very wide area, including western Europe.

The portrait is in the tradition of the Kore representations, here as a young elegant woman holding a bird in her left hand, red-brown terracotta.
