This is a 2nd Century Roman Glass, hand blown 2nd century AD. It is thick and heavy, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines, it has a rounded neck and squre body. Unguentaria used to hold poisonous, caustic oils or ointments and were never smooth sided, to prevent the Roman from grabbing the dangerous oil by mistake. A finely patinated Danish Neolithic sickle, dating back to the later neolithic period, ca. 2600-2200 B.C.

A sickle of a good size, measuring c. 15,5 cm. long. Nice workmanship with an old inventory number in white ink.

The patina is a warm even brown colour! Very attractive.

Condition: Choice, with a few minor ancient chips from use as seen in the pictures, covered by patina.

The scarce figural forpart of an early medieval bronze cross encolpion, Byzantine, c. 8th. cent. AD.

The cross decorated with Virgin Mary holding child Jesus, with portraits on each arm of the cross. Loop at the top, and thus wearable.

Size: 91 x 66 mm.

Condition: Nicely preserved obverse part of the Encolpion, smooth wear from use and nice dark green patina.

A pair of ancient pendant from the Egyptian late-Ptolemaic Period, after 600 BC.

Both amulets are pierced horisontically to be worn as pendants. One is of the seated Bastet as a Cat (2,1 cm.), the other is a head of a human god or Pharao (2,5 cm.).

An attractive Uruk Zoomorphic stamp seal pendant, c. late 4th.-early 3rd. millenium BC.

The seal carved in a wonderful transperant stone and depicts an animal rearing it's head. The base carved with a Grit pattern and central piercing.

Size: 20 mm. tall and 19 mm. wide. A substantial amulet-seal for the period.

Condition: Good Very fine, tiny chip at one side of the head othervise completely intact with nice patina.

A fine specimen of a Danish Neolithic Battle Mace, dating to Single Grave Period - c. 2800-2400 B.C.

The mace is carved from hardstone with an elliptical body. In the center a furrow - approx. 0,5 deep and 1 cm. wide - is carved, to make a secure fastening of the mace to the wooden shaft.

Size: 11 x 5 x 6 cm - weighing 720 gr.

Condition: A choice mace with very few imperfections. Nice patination.
