Two Similar Celadon Glazed Vases
Late Qing dynasty
Each of flattened baluster form molded with vertical ribs and conforming rim and foot ring, the walls impressed with opposing eight-lobed reserves centered with shou medallions, the shoulders applied with animal heads and mock ring handles, the olive green glaze displaying extensive craze lines (both chipped, bases drilled and filled).

Each of vertical format painted in fencai enamels: one depicting two scholars discussing the past in autumn mountains and the other of a cormorant fisherman in a quiet mountain village, each bearing the cyclical date geng-chen (1940) and bearing the signature Yeting Wang Ping (Wang Yeting, 1884-1942), followed by the seal Pingshan; each enclosed within a wood frame.

A very well executed Early Republic period porcelain plaque. Decorated after Giuseppe Castiglione or Lang Shi’ing series of paintings of the Qianlong emperor’s Ten Fine Hounds. The originals can be found at the Palace Museum in Taipei. The painting and writing is extremely well done. It’s hard to translate but the piece is very well signed by the artist. The condition is mint. The plaque measures roughly 12 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide.

Pair of large Chinese Nanking Cargo blue and white porcelain chargers decorated with landscape scenes of islands and pavilions. A trellis pattern with four artemisia leaf panels on the cavetto and three fruiting branches on the scalloped rims. An additional feature elevating these wonderful chargers to a rarer status is the amount of gilding that still remains. Circa 1750.
