Excellently glazed stoneware body, glazed with a very nice chreamy white, close crackled glaze. The body where exposed has turned dark-brown in the firing. Song Dynasty, 12th century. A Chinese Shiwan stoneware fanghu vase with a jun glaze, late Ming/early Qing dynasty. The hollow tube handles associate this type of vase with the arrow game pastime but this example, given the small diameters involved would be unsuitable. The glaze is a transmutation glaze and its colour is decided by the kiln conditions at the peak temperature.

Shiwan (Shekwan) ceramics are from southern China, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

Song Dynasty celadon jarlet with two vertical rings at neck. Muted floral scrolling design under crackled glaze which is of an olive brown tone. Height: 2.75 inches; Diameter: 4 inches.

A Chinese, qingbai, bowl incised with a sponaneous 4floral design; Song dynasty. The rim of the bowl is notched to give the impression of six petals. Overall covered in a greenish glaze, except for the outer base and foot-rim. Likely from Fujian province. Dimensions; 17.8 cm diameter. Condition; there is some wear to the glaze, a few small rim chips, and a couple of short hairlines from the rim. It has a resonant tone when tapped.

Ming Dynasty Blue and White Plate with a nice silky glaze. Flaws and dimples during manufacture and a small chip to underside edge of the rim. Diameter is 6.75 inches.

A Southern Chinese or Vietnamese bowl, covered all-over with a pale celadon glaze. This bowl dates to the C14-15th; or before. Quite delicately potted; gently rising from it's low, unglazed, foot to a slightly everted rim. Diameter; 13.5 cm. Condition; In presentable condition wih nice glaze qulaity, there are a couple of small nibble to the underside of the rim, and also the the foot. More photos are available upon request.

Example of Yuan Dynasty blue and white bowl, decorated with a bunch of Lotus to the interior center, the cavetto side is plain and encircled by classic scrolls to inner rim. Exterior with continuously fungus pattern above lotus petals band. Condition is damaged and re-glued with two small missing pieces and two tiny chips to rim area, slight crackled glaze. Yuan dynasty 13th-14th century. Diameter: 18,5 cm.
