Most of these thangka were photographed through glass frames, so there may be a little blurriness. This thankga was in an exhibition at the University of Texas Art Museum. An unmounted Tibetan thangka of the Buddha Dipakar. The Buddha appeared prior to the historical Buddha, Shakyamuni. Legends of the Buddha's past lives tell of how in a past life when Shakyamuni was a human, he met Dipankar and offered his hair to cover the path the Buddha Dipankar was walking and Dipankar Buddha predicted that the man would become the next Buddha. Authentic antique, 18th - 19th century, Tibetan belt pouch (coin purse) composed of leather, silver and brass. The front richly decorated with silver and brass, and studded with co turquoises.

A fine and genuinely old silver mounted Prayer Wheel / Mill (‘Khor'), Tibet, 19th. century.

With silver in the midsection, mounted with coral and torquise, large silver folliage mounts on the top and bottom, bone suspension and a finely polished hardwood handle. Note also the silver lotus buc at the top. Guaranteed authentic old.

Antique Nepalese bronze figures of Yama Dharmaraja and Yami in tantric embrace. The buffalo headed Buddhist protector, Lord of Death and Justice stands with his consort. He tramples a male buffalo with one foot, a female victim with the other. He brandishes a skull-tipped stick in his right hand and his hair streams out in flames behind his horns.
