Kuba Caucasian Wool Handknotted Carpet, good design and coloration, running dog border, 44"W 74"L, old restoration, age wear, pre 1920s.

The basic fabric is a very fine plain weave, probably cotton with some silk, embroidered with pastel colored silk yarn and metal threads. Worked identically on both surfaces. Condition: few losses of metal thread, six small holes, little patina. Dimension: 214 cm x 36.5 cm.

This is a traditional style full length silk robe, aka Chapan, from Uzbekistan/Tajikistan area. The pattern was made using an ikat dye technique, and the robe is padded and machine quilted. Excellent condition, shows very little wear...stunning

Burgundy red velvet ground with the design of a mosque with minarets below a tughra. Padded embroidery in couched metal thread. Condition: doubtless a fragment, the basic fabric sewn together, the metal threads with patina and some missing and loose ones. Dimension: 35 cm x 33 cm.

The ground fabric was certainly made in China. The ends of the shawl are finely embroidered in multi-colored silk yarn. The embroidery is identical on both surfaces. The sides with fringes or crochet work. Condition: one hole (near embroidery) and few tiny holes, few tiny stains and loose threads. Dimension: length without fringes: approx. 225 cm, width: 45 cm.

Composite panel of antique Ottoman embroideries, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. Made in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and silver wrapped threads, crocheted together. Two patches with a kind of floral needle weaving. Bordered with a green ribbon and later lining. Condition: stained and flawed areas, missing threads, faded. Dimension: 159.5 cm x 98 cm.

A long woman's coat, made of salmon-colored silk, with woven rows of polychrome flower bouquets. Front and back made of one panel of fabric, therefore the pattern being upside-down at the back. Antique hand knotted Yomud persian rug in dark reds with black and white accents. The rug has a long fringe, approximately 6" on each side. Early 20th century. It measures 9'11" by 7'10".

The basic fabric is a linen weave with black stripes. The ends are embroidered with a striped camel carrying a coffin to Mecca, in polychrome threads and decorated with fold silvered metal. Antiquq Persian Afshar style rug hand knotted from wool.The Afshar were a preeminent nomad tribe who crafted high quality rugs. The two stepped medallions in the center is one of their typical designs. It measures 6'5" by 4'4".

Antique Belouch persian rug, hand knotted from wool. The dark reds and coral colors are very striking. The rug has stag like animals in varying colors along the sides. There is a small orange animal climbing a column on one of the registers. It measures 3'10" wide by 7' long.

This Antique Persian Tribal Kilim was woven by the Qashqai Nomadic Tribal group in Southwestern Persia/Iran. Woven in the late 19th century with amazing all natural colors and in remarkable condition. Both decorative and highly collectible piece. Qashqai rugs typically have designs of diamond shaped medallions. It has various shades of oranges and reds on brown abrash and off-white ground. It measures 12'5" by 4'10".

Antique Chobi hand knotted wool rug. The rug has very dramatic blues and yellows accented with pale green and red. The design is centered around an X shaped from the center. it measures 7'1" by 8'10".
