Two antique square Küthaya ceramic tiles with wooden frames. Each painted in underglaze cobalt blue, turquoise, green and red, outlined in black. Showing a quranic calligraphy bordered by a band of scrolling saz and flowerheads. Condition: partial cracquelure to glaze, one tile with cracks in the right angle, partially restored, the other one with tiny glaze loss in the right corner, both slightly warped. Dimension: 23.3 x 23.3 cm.

A small cylindrical container made of brass with a domed cover with close fitting. With engraved decoration in horizontal bands, the widest with four medallions each containing a figure at leisure. Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. Dimension: 7.0 cm high, diameter: 2.9 cm, weight: 56 g.

A large wooden lidded box of rectangular shape, made in Qajar Persia. The surfaces overlaid with micro-mosaic in colored wood, bone and metal, forming different stellar motifs. All with a lacquer finishing, shining golden. The interior with a folding mirror and roughly painted with flowers. The drawer is partitioned, the metal fittings made of sheet metal...

Antique 18th-19th century ottoman Islamic brass Qibla indicator and sundial, of round form, and affix with suspension ring. The face engraved with toponyms in Arabic and zodiac symbols. The sundial component is mounted with the folded triangle - form gnomen and a swiveling pin.

This compass and sundial was used by the Muslim faithful to locate qibla, or sacred direction towards the Ka'aba in Mecca for sholat (prayers)...

A Qajar papier-mache penbox with painted decoration under a lacquered varnish. Showing the rose and nightingale motif "gul-u-bulbul", a popular literary and decorative theme in Qajar Persia. Provenance: a gentleman's collection, Geneva - Switzerland. Condition: traces of usage, small losses, some wear and cracking (please look at the photos carefully, they make part of the condition report). Dimension: c. 23 cm x 4.2 cm x 3.5 cm.

A Qajar sherbet spoon carved from light, varnished wood, made in two parts with a long rhomboid handle joined to the boat-shaped bowl-section by a slot. Dimension: 30.2 cm long x 5 cm wide.

Of rectangular form with sliding lid. The top and reverse differently carved with the rose and nightingale "gul-u-bulbul" motif. The undecorated mirror is not fixed. Condition: few traces of usage, the mirror glass with some imperfections. Dimension: 19.3 cm x 12.8 cm, weight: 324 g.

Antique Islamic fruit sherbet spoon made of solid silver, 19th century Turkey. It has a Turkish Ottoman coin bowl and a long twisted stem handle. The silver is marked 800, indicating its grade, and has an elaborate finial in the shape of a crown. The finial is adorned with Islamic symbols, including a crescent moon and a star. The bowl is made of a 20 Kurush silver coin of Sultan Abdul Aziz II, which is dated AH 1277 (1861-1874 AD)...

A pair of antique, 19th century, Islamic Turkish Ottoman stirrups of characteristic form. They are made of brass and have a curved base plate flanked by flat sides that rise to an arch and finish with a loop. The stirrups are decorated in openwork with typical Ottoman neo-rococo style motifs. The base plate is cut in an elaborate cartouche surrounded by acanthus scrolls.

The elegant black horn hilt with fingerstalls and crested karabela-type pommel, the fine, sinuous blade multi-fullered on the obverse and inscribed in gold, the reverse with a single narrow fuller at the spine and a panel of gold inlay in intertwining vine motifs. A large silver tray of oval form with applied scrolling handles. The sloping sides of the salver with repousse decoration in the Turkish baroque style. Tughra and two other marks to either end of the tray, each handle with two hallmarks.
