Bound in leather with both Quran and other texts and charts. This book probably served as a Talisman. It dates from the 18th to early 19th century and was probably made in the Sousse Valley. It has several different hand writings and beautiful calligraphy. Dimensions: 9,5 x 12 cm. Good condition with appropriate age wear. The leather binding could be a later addition.
Fine Persian miniature painting, depicting Safavid King and prince hunting demons, Safavid was a Persian dynasty ruling 1500-1750 AD, this is, most likely, an illuminated page from a 19th century book, gilt borders and gilt painting. Size; The page is 6.5" x 4", housed in a 11.5" x 9" very fine wood frame. Condition Report; Both painting and frame are in good condition, of course frame itself is not very old.
Red agate dome-shaped seal with an incised design of a bull wearing wings. Antique Mesopotamia. Height: 3/4" (2 cm). The seal is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand on which a patinated plaster imprint has been affixed. Good condition.

This large Safavid period inlaid copper basin measures an impressive 17" across and 9" tall (43 by 23 cm) and features a round shape with slightly inverted rim, extensive incised decorations including calligraphic band under the rim, and decorative arabesques alternatively filled with vegetal motifs, geometric patterns and animals.
