A pair woman's Paduka in fish form, made of hardwood and inlaid with brass wire. Base inscribed "Hindu bath sandals" and "Anna Broadwood". A similar pair in the Bata Shoe Museum Collection in Toronto. Dimension: c. 22 cm long, 8.8 cm wide, total height: 8.4 cm. Condition: few traces of usage, a short section with missing wire (see picture no. 2).

This is a Japanese antique excellent silk kinran Weave and hand-embroidery kesa textile of the edo era(1800-1867) . The lining is silk safflower dyed. There are some stains, and a part of the embroidery thread is peeled off. There is a small hole. But they don't stand out. Recommended for your antique textile collection. DESCRIPTION: A Chinese peach toggle (guajian) crafted from a flat piece of burl wood with large spreading leaves, representing longevity in Chinese iconography. Two holes on either side of the stem were used for threading a cord from which this toggle would have been suspended as a counterweight to some other object, such as a tobacco pouch. A nice example of Chinese folk art dating from the mid 1800’s or earlier, this toggle is in overall fine condition with aged patina...

This Chinese antique wood carving was possibly part of an architectural structure or possibly from a piece of furniture. The wood is approximately 1.3 inches thick and retains much of the original finish though it is obviously worn in some areas. The tradition carvings of 2 dragons chasing the pearl is very well done. The piece is about 5 inches high and 17 inches long.

Exceptional semi antique, over 70 years old, two paneled Tai Daeng (Red Tai) blanket from Northern Laos with supplementary weft silk Chinese Shou longevity character medallions and key fret design. The last time I was in Vientiane (13 years ago) textiles of this quality are no longer to be found. There are two repairs noted in enlargements 2 & 3 as well as some minor weft design loss...

A scarce set of four Danish Neolithic silex blades. Two daggers and two spear points, dating to Daggertime, 2200-2000 BC.

The blades are all very thin and skillfully knapped in antiquity. Two blades of lancet dagger type and two spear points / javelins.

A beautiful Chinese 10.5 inch high earthenware mudman of mudman holding a gourd and fly swat that has been lamped without any damage to the figurine. Including the base and harp the lamp measures 25 inches high. The base measures 7" x 7". Note: We have 2 of these lamps, see last 2 photos, and they are $600 for the pair. Mudman dates circa pre-1920.
