Campanian kylix with four palmettes linked by incised arcs to form a ‘palmette cross’. Thin-walled cup with shallow bowl and gently rounded floor.
Finely impressed palmettes. The linking arcs impressed with a twisted wire.
Former collector’s numeration (95) inside the carefully modeled ring foot. Dark points around the foot indicate that the cup was hold with four fingers when dipped into the black glaze.

A spread feather –like attachment is strapped to the back with straps that chris cross the chest. Applied donut circular eyes typical of the archaic style. A pair of very nice ancient fragmentary pottery heads from late La Tolita culture / early Guangala in present day Ecuador, c. 200 BC-500 AD!

Both likely male dignitaries, one of them with with large earspools. The head to the left is chewing coca leaves!

This exceptional massive redware vessel was found in the village of Virginia in the Cauca Valley. Anthropomorphic design depicting a male figure with a fat belly and hands holding something(?). His headdress or hat has a relatively small hole at the top (mouth of the vessel) where we imagine that straws for sucking up liquids was inserted...

Seated naked woman, cupping each breast in her hands, with serene facial features, large ears to the side, the striated coiffure extending down the neck. Porous basalt, intact. The breast holding posture of this female figure is seen as a symbolic fertility gesture.
