This Mayan bone carving is unique in that it has a Mayan glyph carved on the back which translates to "Old God". It is 2 1/4" long. The carving is very well done and has extremely rare iconography. As rare as it gets. A museum quality piece. Purchased from Keith Finello.

A very attractive tall pottery figure of a standing female or deity, Magna Grecia, ca. 3rd. century BC.
The figure is standing with a slight bend in her left knee and one arm above her head perhaps correcting her large headress. She is veiled and clad in elegant garments.

Condition: Superb for type, intact with remnants of white pigments.

Tularosa Dog Head Olla, Black On White, Ca. 1175 to 1300 ad. This is a beautiful piece that is not broken but does have a pressure crack restored on bottom, no other restoration or repaint. The bust depicts a lady with a fine gown swept on and she holds it with her right hand. The left hand carries something over her right shoulder. She wears a large headress or crown.
