Thinly potted and marked porcelain dish, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with the design of a Crab. Middle Ming Period, fifteenth century. The design of a Crab is common on Kangxi dishes and dishes of later Qing Dynasty Periods. On dishes of the Ming Dynasty the decoration of a Crab is quite rare. Diameter : 11,8 cm. This miniature jarlet and ewer are very rare so-called “associated finds” when people in Indonesia do excavate pieces of the Song and the Yuan Dynasty. Antique Japanese ikebana basket, for display of flower arrangements. The piece is all hand-woven with bamboo with a wide rounded mouth, and squared base. The handle is made with braided thin sections of bamboo, secured at the sides with knots. The basket interior holds a striped bamboo vase.

Antique Japanese Kyo ware Chawan (Tea Bowl) with poetry made during Edo period (1603-1868).

Hand modeled, covered with yellow glaze except foot ring, with written poetry which is hardly seen due to the age.
The bowl is full of tea stain inside as a result of extensive use in the past which creates unique wabi sabi feel.

Architectural element carved in the shape of a Hindu deity head wearing a formal cap. Nicely patinated wood, with old carpenter nails still inserted in some areas. India, early 18th century. Height: 26 cm. The piece is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Abrasion due to great age, partly chipped nose, otherwise good condition.

Antique silver and enamel finger nail guard, worn by wealthy ladies to protect their long finger nails and show that they did not need to work with their hands, made all of pierced repouse silver and enamel and decorated with flowers and a raised frog, edge has light blue enamel over a running key fret motif, 19th century. This lovely set of 5 antique Japanese blue and white porcelain sake cups was made for export during the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890-1914 which required that the name of the country of origin appear in writing on each piece of pottery or porcelain imported into the country. Each cup has the makers name on the bottom as well as the country of origin. they are in excellant condition.
