19th Century Glass snuff bottle. Transulcent blue overlay on bubble infused glass depicting a grass hopper on one side and bamboo on the other side. Minor pin-prick type chips on inner and outer mouth rim and small chip to blue foot rim. Stopper /lid not included.

Finely carved ivory Chinese napkin ring with 3 landscape carvings and an animal in each scene. Each is deeply carved, giving depth to the foliage. The 4th cartouche is left blank for monogramming. In excellent condition, it measures 1 1/8" high by 2" diameter. Circa 1900.

A large gable seal carved in black stone with a Geomethric leaf pattern under the base, Western Mesopotamia, 5th. mill. BC. A very early seal of the gable type.

Size: 36 mm long and 23 mm wide, 11 mm thick.

Condition: VF, basically intact with minor wear to the edge.

Unusual early 19th century Japanese cloisonne kogo (covered box for incense during tea ceremony) made in a shape of a clam shell and decorated with various flowers on the background of scrolling vines. Rims are silvered (some wear), white enamel background on the outside, blue enamel on the inside. Very pleasant finish with original pitting, rare and early object in terms of Japanese cloisonné, from the period of transition from Chinese to Japanese style. Great piece in Japanese taste...

Late 19th century Japanese cloisonne kogo (covered box for incense during tea ceremony) decorated on top with butterflies and various flowers, and bottom with central chrysanthemum and scrolling branches with leaves. Great detailed work, gilding to all exposed metal including wires (some wear). Wonderful piece in Japanese taste. Diameter 2.58 inches, height 0.77 inches.

A beautiful and scarce stone stamp seal, carved in black serpentine with a high handle, Western Asia, Hittite period, 2nd. millenium BC.

Triangular seal plate, engraved with what looks to be a sort of script or symbols, looks almost Egyptian in the style, but we're not certain and it should be researched some more. Finely made knob handle with piercing

Length: 27 mm. height c. 12 mm.

A fine large oval stamp seal in green black stone, Uruk period, later 4th. mill. BC.

The seal is carved with a wonderful image of 6 centopedes in high relief, drilled horisontically.

Interesting conoid shaped stamp seal in black stone, probably serpentine, engraved on the base with a deer with large antlers and on the upperside with unidentified engravings. Greater Mesopotamia area and porabably from the Ubaid/Urum period 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

Super nice stylized engraving of the deer! There's certainly some engravings on the upperside as well but uncleaned and unresearched.

19th century Chinese jadeite snuff saucer in a shape of a footed dish with gently concave surface. Does not photograph well. Wonderful off-white stone, beautiful patina, in great condition, wonderful feel of age. Diameter 1 5/16 inches.

The seal engraved in the base with a fancy bird, probably a Peacock, which was a much favored bird among the Persians...

19th century marine material ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved as seated shishi with its mouth open and containing a loose ball, and its front paw on a large ball. Excellent carving - see its ferocious face and hairwork. Beautiful wear, wonderful warm patina, in excellent condition. Signed OSEI on the bottom - the artist is listed on p. 855 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick. Height 3/4 inches.

Japanese Neolithic period magatama stone bead. Magatama are curved beads which first appeared in Japan during the Jomon period (circa 1000 BCE), and in Korea during the Prehistoric period, mainly in the Bronze Age and Neolithic. They are found in mounded tumulus graves as offerings to deities, and continued to be popular with the ruling elite throughout the Kofun Period, and are often romanticized as indicative of the Yamato Dynasty of Japan...
