This is a porcelain “nodder” titled “Smoking Bather”. This porcelain figure entails an old man sitting in his bathing towel smoking with a hat. His legs can move in and out and his head “nodds”. The figure is in good condition. It is made by Shofu China Co. in Japan. The circa is around turn of the century. When sitting the figure measures 4” tall, 3” wide (at the widest part), and his legs are 2” long. The total weight of the figure is 8 oz.

Circa 1900 or Earlier of a Ceramic Smoking Pipe with a nicely painted fox hunting scene. Fox hunter on a horse with whip and dog following jumping over a creek in pursuit of a fox. The pipe is ceramic and the top is silver, probably plate and not sterling. Inside the pipe is a string that has a clasp at one end and two clasps on the other end that must have been attached to the pipe and connected to a belt, or something so it would not get lost.

Two magnificent 18th century Spanish majolica albarelli with tin glazed soft blue color on the outside and honey color lead glaze inside. One albarello has remains of white powder inside. The other contained some kind of greasy substance. Both are in very good condition without restoration. Minor chipping and some pitting. One has two vertical thin hairline cracks to the straight upper part. Height of each is circa 23.5 cm.

A fabulous clobbered Staffordshire transferware soft paste cake plate early 19th century. The maker is Thomas Minton and made from between 1822 and 1836. It is marked Opaque China and the pattern is Chinese Marine. It has a raised rim with floral border and the central panel is a Chinese village with a river flowing along side it. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Size: 8-1/2 inches in diameter.
