It's rare to find these wonderful huge platters specifically for serving a whole fish. I admit I had to it use it for a stunning presentation for my guests (sorry, I lost my photos of that!). It was most likely commissioned for a grand hotel or prestigous European family.It is really,really heavy, slight loss of the gold as expected with a mid 1800's piece. Exquisite Limoges porcelain Lidded Bowl, expertly decorated by Pickard. It has suggested this may be pot d'creme. Green underglaze whiteware mark of "GDA" (Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot) over "France," dates from 1900, and brown, double-circle "Handpainted China, Pickard" mark is pre-1910. 4" (10.61 cm) tall, 3.75" (9.52 cm) diameter. This richly gilded 2-piece bowl is in excellent, undamaged condition. C. 1900-1910. $12 US Shipping.

This demitasse cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in France by Haviland Limoges before 1900. The plate has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches, the saucer is 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 inches high. The plate and saucer are scalloped with a ripple molded into the border. The cup has a shape like a clover. The three pieces are decorated with a floral transfer that trails across each piece in art nouveau style. The rims are trimmed with a double gold band. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt before 1920. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine and translucent. There are bands of embossed gilding and shiny gold around the borders of the cup and saucer.
