French Sevres porcelain urn-form vase in a cobalt glaze, decorated with ornate ormolu mounts and a bronze cherub holding a dove. 19th century. The vase had once been converted into a lamp. Size: 24.25 inches ht. x 12.5 inches wide x 9 inches deep. Very nice condition, no chips or cracks or breaks.

This is a rare atypical mochaware banded bowl and ciover with textured, sand like areas that cover a good part of the body surface of this piece. Examples such as this piece are not only sand textured but usually sand colored, with bands of blue or brown above and below the central rough-surfaced areas.
