French Limoges hard paste plate early 20th century. Mark: Jean Poyat Limoges France with wreath. The central design is an elaborated gilded star utilizing fleur-de-lea pattern. The border is medallions of pink floral bouquets within gilded wreathes and in between those are gilded poinsettia flower within an elaborate gilded medallion. This pair of porcelain plates was produced in Paris, France by Honore around 1820. They are 9 1/2 inches in diameter. One plate is signed in red block letters. The plates have a scalloped edge. Raised gold beading and swags with bows trim the border. Delicate hand painted flowers are framed in intricate gilding. The center medallion looks like a gilded snowflake with flowers in it. This porcelain dessert stand was produced in France by Tressemann and Vogt in the 1890's. The diameter of the stand is 6 inches and the height is 3 1/4 inches. The porcelain stand, itself, was made in France. We believe that an artist in the United States purchased the white ware and decorated it. It is beautifully hand painted with multi-colored roses. There is lacy, raised, hand gilding and heavy gold trim. This adorable stand is in excellent condition.
