This Art Nouveau majolica pitcher is dark green with delicate green leaves and flowers. Made by Villeroy & Boch in its Dresden, Germany factories, it stands 6 1/2 inches tall and has just the right colors for contemporary decorating schemes. There is a small chip on the upper lip of the pitcher which can be seen in the photos, but otherwise the condition is very nice. With a bunch of appropriate flowers the chip would not be seen and the display effect would be stunning! Circa 1900-1920.

A wonderful majolica plate which harmonizes well with a blue or turquoise color scheme. This imposing plate was made for wall display and has a hole in the back for hanging. It is 12 inches in diameter and is a stylized palm leaf with gerbera flowers in blue and deep pink. The glazing on the plate is in shiny condition, but there are some rough spots along the rim and where the flowers are raised. These flaws are not really noticeable. The plate is not marked but most probably a product of Ville... Click for details
