This is a wonderful porcelain Capo Di Monte demitasse cup and saucer dating to the 3rd quarter of the 19th century. The hand painted raised molded scene depicts the sun god in a 2 horse drawn chariot, a third horse, a tower, and some other mythological deities/figures(one with a snake). The art work is outstanding. The interior of the cup is painted with a gold boarder and gold sprigs of leaves and flowers. A pair of Cozzi shield shape serving dishes decorated with an elaborate double border of interlocking wreathes (laurel?), with a few gilt sprigs and a multi-hued moth in the center.

The dishes are approximately 9 ½ inches long, 8 ½ inches wide and 1 7/8 inches tall ( 24 X21.5 X 4.8 cm).
