Beautiful French enameled plaques grace the 4 sides of this ormolu dried flower or potpourri holder. The plaques are all different and are decorated with medallions of exquisitely hand painted flowers. This is an Indo Persian brass or bronze vase from the ancient city of Benares. This 7 3/4 inches in height, of characteristic form with a turnip shaped body and scalloped rim. It dates to about 1800, the period of the Great Raj. The decoration is classic and specific to the city of Benares, with foliage engraved, the details and backgrounds inlaid with enamels. A 24" Japanese or Chinese cloisonne vase. We do not deal much with Oriental arts like this, but could not resist offering this vase as a consigned item from one of our customers. It seemed to me like an especially large and very tastefully decorated example. At 24" high this vase is larger than most offered for sale now. Russian silver and guilloche enameled salt by Genady Pavlov, manufactured in ST Petersburg between 1908 - 1917. Of circular form with tapered sides, the salt is decorated with an enameled band in a delicate lilac color. The bracket feet, interior and exterior are gilded. The piece is in excellent overall condition, despite some losses to the interior gilding. It measures approximately 1 15/16" (4.9 cm) in width by 1 1/8" (2.85 cm) in height and weighs 1.26 oz (36 grams).

Wonderful sterling silver and enamel compact and vanity kit from high end department store in Paris or Cuba. It contains a lipstick container, powder box w/puff, small crystal perfume bottle and come. Each ha a wonderful aqua blue/green guilloche enamel over silver finish. The box is labeled El Encanto Habana Paris..so I assume this is from Cuba or Paris. The lipstick is hallmarked 935, but I can't find any other hallmarks. Powder box has mirror and orig puff. Russian silver and enamel shaded napkin ring, probably by the 11th Moscow Artel, manufactured between 1908 and 1917. The shaded enamel work is executed in subtle colors against a stippled, gilded ground in the floral and geometric designs characteristic of this maker. The designs are embellished with protruding silver droplets. Measuring 2 1/8" (5.4 cm) in length by 1 1/2" (3.75 cm)tall, the piece weighs 1.8 oz (51.5 grams). An napkin ring of unusual coloration.

Set of four Russian silver and shaded enamel salts by the 11th Moscow Artel, manufactured between 1908 and 1917. In perfect condition and decorated with beautifully executed shaded enamel in floral and geometric patterns against royal blue and lavender grounds, each salt measures 1 1/2" (or 3.6 cm) in diameter and 3/4" (or 1.9 cm) tall. Softly gilded inside and underneath, each piece weighs 0.9 oz (or 26 grams).
