This exquisite cut glass box, circa 1889, originates from the Libbey production line. Products made by Libbey were known for being highly-leaded glass. The lid of the box bears the Harvard pattern. The base of the box is adorned with a large 24-pt starburst. Separating the top lid from the bottom lid are silver plated lid rims. This beautiful cut glass box, circa 1908-1920, is from the American Brilliant Period. The top of the lid is adorned with a bewitching butterfly and two thistle-like flowers to the lower left and right sides. To the immediate left and right of the butterfly are the elongated leaves that extend from the flowers below. The base of the box is graced with a 24-pt starburst. This cut glass box is 5 1/2" in diameter, 2 1/2" tall, and is in very good condition.
