This cut glass jewel box, circa 1868, is from the American Brilliant Cut Period. The glass is adorned with Intaglio cuts and floral designs. The lid is graced with not only the aforementioned but four starbursts with eight points. The base of the jewel box is embellished with a twenty-four point starburst.
