A very Fine and RARE Blue / Green Quezal Art Glass Lamp Shade. This shade is shown as Tiffany shape #125 featured in Darrah Roert's book on shade collecting. The color of this Quezal is not solid blue. Additionally,this shade is the 2nd one that I owned 35 years of collecting and retailing art glass shades. Fine and RARE Quezal Stalactite Shade. The seldom seen 5 point star shape opal body is decorated with shimmering iridescent Gold Festoon motif. It is an early Quezal shade and is correctly signed with the small "6 o'clock" signature. The condition is MINT . The fitter opening is 3 1/8", the height: 6 3/4". Fine and RARE set of Quezal Shades. The lovely tall shaped iridescent gold bodies are decorated with and all over opal white "King Tut". They are correctly signed and 2 are in MINT condition, 1 with minute fitter roughness. The fitter openings are 2 1/4", the height: 6". For collectors, here is a unique Quezal Design and shape. The 5.5" high shade has curvy outline, almost like a "figure 8". The golden shade's surface layer is smooth; but, when the shade is lit or held up to a light, a diamond pattern in the glass layers between the outer and inner layers of glass, is visible. This is an early opalescent, paperweight technique art glass shade by Tiffany Studios. The 5" high shade's base glass layer is a very light aqua-green, which is slightly ribbed. The middle. very thin glass sheets have a off-white, "rainy" look. The shade has a highly glossed, almost mirror iridescent finish. It has the standard 2.25" fitter and is 5" high.
